Is LinkedIn Learning Free?
Sadly, LinkedIn Learning doesn’t offer any free courses, but they do offer a 1-month free trial which will give you full access to all its 21,000+ expert-led courses and other resources.
All you will need to do is register and add your card details. You won’t be charged for the subscription if you cancel at least a day prior to the end of that first month.
It’s a pretty good way to get a taste of the LinkedIn Learning platform right?
If you do decide to cancel your monthly free trial before it ends and then you have a change of heart and decide to rejoin on a paid subscription at a later date, you will be able to continue with the courses where you left off.

- Annually: The annual fee is $239.88 working out at $19.99/month
- Monthly: You will pay a monthly subscription of $39.99/month
Both the pricing plans give you full access to the same features. I have listed these features below;
- 21,000+ expert led courses
- Personalized course recommendations
- Earn a certificate on course completion
- Practice exercise files and quizzes
- Download to mobile app for offline viewing

Buying Individual LinkedIn Learning Courses
If signing up for a subscription isn’t for you, then no worries as LinkedIn Learning has the option to Buy this course (see image below). If you know which specific course you are wanting to study with, then this could be the right option for you.
There are currently around 5,000 learning courses available to purchase individually. They are looking to expand this and the goal is to make the whole of the Learning library available for individual purchases in the future.
After you have purchased your course you will be able to rewatch and retake the course as many times as you would like, but you must keep your LinkedIn profile to do so.
You can also access the individual course via the mobile app, where you can download the content and view and learn anytime and anywhere.

Heyo, this article is still helpful this year!
Linkedin does not show the prices to logged out users very easily, which is just silly. I contacted their chat support and the rep sent me a link that *only* works if you are already logged in. I wish they could just put the price tag on the tin…
Anywyay, thanks for the numbers.

Are those certificate courses on LinkedIn Learning at all credible? And are they valued more or less as compared to those on Cousera? Also, how many corses can you take during the 30 day free trial?

Hey John. LinkedIn Learning certificates aren’t accredited by an external University or Organization, they are recognition that you have successfully completed a course. With the free trial, you’ll get full access to the LinkedIn Learning platform, which is currently 21,000+ courses. Enjoy and happy learning 🙂

Thank you! Very good article but … I have this problem all the time … I think, “$29.99 isn’t too bad” and then find out that it’s double or more once I sign up to these things because I’m paying in Australian dollars. Can you add “USD or AUD to the end of your pricing structure please? It helps! Thank in advance. 🙂

Hello. I forgot that I subscribed for the one-month free trial. I was charged $239.98! Was that the correct price? I don’t remember subscribing for a one-payment annual fee! Even though the free month ended, is there any way I can get a refund?
Catherine Cooke
26 September 2021, 18:24
Hey Martha,
Thanks for your message. Yes $239.98 is the correct amount as the annual plan is that one, which works out at $19.99 a month (please see attached image). As your free trial has ended, sadly you won’t be able to get a refund. I hope you are still able to enjoy LinkedIn Learning even though you weren’t planning on committing to an annual subscription.

Hello Catherine, I am a regular LinkedIn user, cancelled my premium around 3 m ago. Can you enlighten me, is LinkedIn learning part of the LinkedIn premium subscription? If I reinstate LinkedIn Premium @ $29.99 pm will I then have total access to LinkedIn learning without having to pay $24.99 pmonth for a year or 39.99 per month or will I pay 29.99 for premium and 24.99 for Learning? If I choose not to reinstate LIpremium subscription can I open LI learning subscription monthly or yearly just having regular LInkedIn set up or purchase courses independently?
Thank you
Catherine Cooke
8 August 2021, 09:23
Hey Conchita. Yes if you have a LinkedIn premium account then you will have full access to LinkedIn Learning. But as you said if you decide not to reinstate your premium account then you can register for a LinkedIn Learning subscription either monthly or yearly and some courses you can purchase individually. I hope that helps you and happy learning 🙂

19 June 2021, 12:53
Hello Catherine,
Looks like the price has changed. The annual subscription (after the free 30 days) is now $24.99 x 12 ($299.88 billed annually) but the monthly charge is now $39.99/mo if you don’t want to pay for the entire year. So basically you must pay around $40/mo unless you want to spend $300 and get billed every year regardless of how much you are using it.

Looking for more information I found yours. Thank you very much.
I just wonder: If I suscribe for LinkedIn Learning, does it means that I will have LinkedIn Premium too? Because I’m looking for that information, but haven’t found it yet.
Someone told me that suscribing to LinkedIn Premium would give me access to Learning (I know I’m asking backwards), but I’m not sure. Would you happen to know that?
Thank you in advance.
